Our team

Hockey Asia is a small Dutch organization with a large passion for hockey

and especially to participate in Hockey projects in Africa and Asia to develop

hockey.

Jaap Suyk, Director and founder of Hockey Asia foundation

After a long hockey career in the Netherlands both trainer and referee

he started his hockey foundation in Asia in Malaysia in 2009.

In 2010 he returned to the Netherlands to coordinate from there.

Rita Van der Wijden, wife of Jaap Suyk and co-director of Hockey Asia foundation.

She shares the same passion to bring hockey and sport development programs

to Africa and Asia to benefit people who can't effort to play and create a sport career.
