In the last men's match of this series in Córdoba, Argentina slipped past the higher ranked Europeans, taking a 2-1 win and finishing the first half of their 6 match test series on a high, booking three points through goals by Juan Martín López and Santiago Montelli.

At the beginning of the match, both sides showed depth in their attacks but the Spanish had the bigger share in ball possession and midway through the first half, Edi Tubau sunk the ball into the Argentinean net for Spain to take the lead with the first half's only goal.

After the break, Pablo Lombi's team managed to turn the scoreline however, in the span of only three minutes, as Juan Martín López and Santiago Montelli made good use of open spaces in the right side of the Spanish defense and scored in the 45th and 48th minute respectively.

In the final minutes of the encounter, Spain pushed for the equalizer and created some compelling opportunities, but were denied on several occasions by Juan Espinosa in the Argentinean goal.

This was the last encounter in the programme of test matches in Córdoba, and the men's teams of Argentina, Spain and France now all move on to Rosario, where the programme will continue with further matches between Argentina and Spain as well as Argentina and France. The next macth is on Wednesday, at 21:30, between Argentina and Spain.
