WC 2010 New Delhi Argentina defeats Canada and play India for 7 and 8 placing

Argentina finally brook thier hoodoo against Canada triumphing 4-2 in their last Pool A game of the 12th Hero Honda FIH Hockey world Cup to ensure themselvesa a top 8 finish at the Dhyan Chand Singh Stadium in New Delhi.
Argentina will play host India on Friday for the 7th-8th classification match while canada will battle it out with Pakistan to avoid the wooden spoon title.
Argentina dominate to go up 3-0 with goals from Lucas Villa (penalty corner) 29th minute, Matias Parades 43rd minute and Mario Almada in the 56th minute before Canada hit back with twin strike from Scott Tupper (penalty corner) 60th minute and David Jameson 65th minute.
But Argentina ensured they have all three points and avoid any hiccups of throwing away the match with a 70th minute goal from Tomas Argento.
