Description:

Monday 8 February 2010

Good Morning,

Pakistan did it again, or must we say India couldn't make it? In any case India lost the final of SAG in Bangladesh and went away with just silver medal.

India had a good performance during their pool-match against Pakistan, but the weak performance against Bangladesh last friday was too much.

Coach of India Lobo was quoted to have another strategy against Bangladesh and to let other players do their job as well.

This strategy seemed not to be right one, India almost lost their match against Bangladesh (saved by the bell) and India lost confidence.

This confidence was missing in their match against Pakistan, no quick start or goals.

Pakistan played their match very well and won in shoot-outs. Well done Pakistan and congratulations.

Another news came from Malaysia where the MHF decided to make their strategy in case the foreign coach will not come.

Tai Beng Hai can stay as coach, together with another former coach Stephen van Huizen.

But the most surprising news came from the National Juniors coaching level, where the former national juniors K.Rajan (nr. 12 at their own WC tournament) was taken back in mercy.

What would mean that Dharmaraj must step back as national coach and became assistant of Rajan. A scenario only possible in Malaysia.

But our top-news is definitely the announcement that Brasa's only captaincy choice Prabhjot Singh was not accepted by the Hockey India board and the losing captain must lead the team during the World Cup.

Very surprising and decisions like these who normally can't be taken in a professional organization are possible in Asia, the same counts for the Malaysian decisions.

Nevertheless it keeps our news live and kicking.

Have a nice day and keep smiling,

Hockey Asia
