Good morning
Bangladesh was almost there; in their match with India they almost beat them.
History can be written in one match but for the team of coach Gerhard Rach more time is required to get good results.
Tomorrow India will play the final as expected against Pakistan.
But the green shirts also had a hard time beating their last opponent, Sri Lanka.
Not that the hockey players of the enchanting Island where strong enough to make it difficult for the Pakistan, but the hockey play of the green shirts was once again not so good.
The match against India had made some serious damage in their team as they made it themselves very difficult against Sri Lanka.
Not that those players were injured but Pakistan had hard time to get back on track.
But the final is announced and so is the 3rd placing match as well.
Although a lot of players of Bangladesh spent months in Europe the end–result is still not good enough.
Once again Bangladesh will stay empty handed to watch the final between the big hockey countries.
The same also for Sri Lanka, but they have not a foreign coach like Bangladesh and no development ideas like the host.
Tomorrow we will see who is right and who is wrong when Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play for bronze.
Tomorrow is also the Election Day for Hockey India but all local newspapers are very quiet in their information so we don’t know if this will go on or to be postponed to another date.
Also the FIH is very quiet about this subject last week. Also here we wait and see.
For the WC preparation Great Britain and the Netherlands tested their forces close before the big event starts. For the Oranges this test was not very successful as they lost 1-3 from the team of Ashley Jackson.
Two minutes before the final whistle it was even 0-3. The British seems to have made some good steps 3 weeks before the World Cup.
The Dutch have two test matches against Spain to look for and close before the WC starts they will test against India.
In Malaysia the first semis were played and the second round will carry out tonight in Kuala Lumpur.
Tenaga and Sapura are leading with one and two goals difference.
At least there is excitement to be expected for tonight’s games.
Have a nice day and keep smiling,
